Why This Work Matters:
Many people arrive at therapy carrying something they've never had words for — a quiet sense that who they are and what they've been taught are in conflict. For queer people navigating faith, identity, and belonging, that tension can run especially deep.
This is the work I'm most called to. I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals at the intersection of sexual identity and spirituality — helping clients move from shame and fragmentation toward integration and peace. I bring both clinical training and lived experience to this space, which means you don't have to explain from the beginning why this is complicated.
My Story:
As a queer person, I've navigated the complexity of reconciling identity, spirituality, and authenticity firsthand. That journey didn't just shape who I am — it shaped how I practice. I know what it's like to hold parts of yourself in separate compartments, waiting for permission to be whole. My work is rooted in that understanding.
I've built my practice around one core belief: healing happens when clients feel genuinely safe — not just tolerated. That's the environment I work to create every time.
Training & Credentials:
I hold a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Oregon State University and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Evangel University. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (KS), Licensed Professional Counselor (MO), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), with over 9 years of clinical experience.
My approach draws on person-centered therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, and mindfulness-based interventions — tools I've found effective specifically for clients doing identity and spirituality work.
